Manitoba Advancing Futures Bursary

At Northwest Law Enforcement Academy, we recognize that pursuing post-secondary education can be a significant financial challenge. For students who have been in the care of a Manitoba Child and Family Services (CFS) agency, the Manitoba government offers a program designed to help reduce these barriers. The Advancing Futures Bursary provides meaningful financial support to eligible students so they can focus on completing their education and building a strong career foundation.

The bursary provides up to $10,000 to help with tuition, books, living costs, and other school-related expenses for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be a resident of Manitoba
  • Be currently or formerly in the care of a Manitoba Child and Family Services agency
  • Be enrolled part-time or full-time in a recognized Manitoba post-secondary institution during the 2025–2026 academic year
  • First-time applicants must include a confirmation letter from their CFS agency. Previous recipients may re-apply.

Application Details

  • Funding Available: Up to $10,000
  • Deadline: October 13, 2025

Priority is given to:

  •   First-time applicants
  •   Full-time students
  •   Applicants with demonstrated financial need
  •   Students with a GPA of 2.0 or higher

How to Apply

1. Complete the Advancing Futures Bursary application and consent form.

2. Include a copy of your most recent academic transcript (official preferred).

3. First-time applicants: provide a CFS confirmation letter.

4. Submit your completed application by October 13, 2025:
