Note: The NWLEA Law, Protection and Safety Diploma program is a comprehensive, in-person curriculum consisting of both academic and hands-on training.
Full-Time Diploma Program classes are scheduled:
- Class 25-74 – April 1, 2025 – February 27, 2026 (8 am to 1 pm)
- Class 25-75 – September 2, 2025 – July 15, 2026 (8 am to 1 pm)
- Class 25-76 – October 1, 2025 – September 10, 2026 (1 pm to 6 pm)
- Class 26-77 – April 1, 2026 – March 10, 2027 (8 am to 1 pm)

This post-secondary program is for persons who intend to seek employment with law enforcement agencies across Canada.
Students attending our Diploma Program can apply for a Student Loan or a Canada Student Grant. More details here. Students can choose to pay tuition in two, three or seven equal payments during their program studies.

Part-Time Study, Certificate Programs
The Certificate Programs were created for those individuals seeking a career in Law Enforcement who:
- are not planning to complete a diploma program
- do not plan to complete a diploma program immediately
- want training is specific areas of law enforcement
Certificate Program students attend class with the Diploma Program students at NorthWest Law and receive instruction from highly qualified, experienced former law enforcement officers.
With classes available in the morning (8 am-1 pm) and afternoon (1 pm-6 pm), many students are able to continue part-time or even full-time employment.
NorthWest Law also offers individuals the opportunity to focus on specific areas of study in a number of short courses that cover a wide range of topics.
